10. Wrapped Up

darling,
your eyes were
so quiet
when I said,
"are you ok?"
I don't trust you anymore

we were once so quiet
but yet so magnified
two hollow bodies sweating
electrified
we were once like children
into the night
if the words you spoke were truthful

I'd be wrapped up in your arms

I was
so violent
so quiet
inside
my own mind
there is nothing anymore

we were once like water
so easy to collide
an empty vessel sinking
by my side
we were once like children
our innocence denied
if the words you spoke were truthful

I'd be wrapped up in your arms

I'll never let you in
I'll never let you out

I'd be wrapped up in your arms

Very nice poetry here. Real love and loss, universal experience, beautifully expressed.
